Ava - Spring 2021
Ava Barnes is a Biomedical Sciences major at Colorado State University. Her lifelong love of animals, her dream of becoming a veterinarian specializing in exotic animals, and a need to get away from the craziness of a college campus under COVID-19 restrictions brought her to CARE. While Winter Storm Uri may have cut her internship short, her time spent there was very meaningful. She went home to garden, cook, and spend time with her family in Dallas before returning to Colorado.
